Giuly Wilde è un personaggio immaginario, la protagonista di avventure scritte su un quaderno quando avevo dieci anni, una sorta di eroina femminile nel cui impasto di allora c’era molto Indiana Jones, un pizzico di James Bond e, naturalmente, John e Paul (ai tempi dei Beatles). Giuly Wilde affrontava mostri terrificanti e li domava, rinchiudendoli dentro a dei barattoli cosi da renderli inoffensivi.
Crescendo ho continuato a scrivere storie attraverso le mie canzoni per il semplice fatto che fare questo mi fa stare bene come quasi nient’altro. A cinquant’anni questa esigenza si è rafforzata ed è saltata fuori di nuovo Giuly Wilde. Non c’è niente di ragionato, è così e basta: mi prendo il lusso di fare quel che mi pare, come mi gira, perchè ne ho voglia. Questa è Giuly Wilde con le sue canzoni e i suoi diversi “personaggi”. La vita mostra le sue sfaccettature e io le guardo attraverso il caleidoscopio della mia fantasia, condividendole con chi ne ha voglia. E mi diverto un mondo. Perchè alla fine, quello che conta è quanta gioia pura ti sei messo in tasca.

I am Her: Giuly Wilde, tamer of the fears.

Giuly Wilde is an imaginary character, the protagonist of stories that I have written on a notebook when I was ten years old; she was a kind of heroin in whose I mixed a lot of Indiana Jones, a pinch of James Bond and, obviously, John and Paul (to the times of the Beatles). She was a brave adventuress. She faced monsters and she made them harmless by closing them in jars.
In the long run, I have kept on writing stories by my songs and so Giuly Wilde has returned again out. There is no anything of reasoned about any of all that, at all. It works this way: I go where I please, simply because I like it. That’s it. Life appears with its thousand facets, and I tell as I see it through the kaleidoscope of my imagination. And I’m absolutely fantastic. Because in the end what really matters is how much pure joy you have put in your pocket.

Scrivo canzoni da sempre. Racconto gli incontri e le avventure che fa l’altra parte di me, Giuly Wilde la domatrice delle paure, quando scende nel mio inconscio. Le sue visioni diventano le mie canzoni…le nostre!

I write songs since I was a Kid. I tell the visions and the adventures that happen to the other part of me, Giuly Wilde tamer of the fears, when she goes down to my unconscious. Her visions turn into my songs…or better, ours!
